ssociated Transport Systems was formed in Chicago, IL…, in the heart of the Midwestern United States.  At the time, as it is today the Midwest was the largest importing and exporting area of the United States.  From day one Associated Transport Systems goal was to represent non-competing port authorities from around the world for all Sales and Marketing activities.

In 1985 our philosophy was simple, be the best at what we do in the area of sales, marketing and market intelligence and the business will come.  The years between 1985 and 2006 have been good to us, and today our business includes not only Port Representation, and Market Research, but International Supply Chain Consulting, Cruise Consulting and Domestic Logistics Consulting.

Over the years our port principals have included the Port of Jacksonville, North Carolina State Ports of Morehead City and Wilmington, NC, the Port of Galveston, TX, the Port of Greater Baton Rouge, LA and the Vancouver Port Authority, Vancouver, BC, Canada, in addition, we now represent the Port of Le Havre, France for all of North America. 

Along with our port representation role, we have provided trade studies to our clients on the Effects of NAFTA and Cross Border Trade, the Role of the International Freight Forwarder in International Trade, Jacksonville Heavy Equipment Study, and other studies and market research projects.
